Step 1:
A FREE online meet and greet where we create a plan of action specifically for your child after discussing their needs and goals
Step 2:
After talking to you, we will find the most well-suited revision specialist on the Explore Apollo team for you.
You will have this same tutor EVERY time, to ensure your child can form a comforting relationship that helps them improve and achieve their goals.
Step 3:
When you start lessons with us, you will receive a welcome pack.
Our Explore Apollo tuition welcome pack is full of great information, including useful tips and helpful information for parents.
Step 4;
Tutoring begins! You will receive live online tutoring from the comfort of your home.
You simply log onto Microsoft Teams software and connect with our qualified Explore Apollo tuition tutor.
The teams link will remain the same for the duration of your Explore Apollo journey and you will receive a lesson reminder the day before each of your lessons.

Finn had been helping my 11 year old with his English ready for his SATS. While he’s a bit of a Maths and Science whizz he has always lack enjoyment and confidence in English so was struggling somewhat.
My son has enjoyed working with Finn, he finds him fun and interesting and at the same time is clearly taking on board what he has been teaching him. He will now off his own back pick a word of the day to try and expand his vocabulary. In a recent parents evening I was told that his new found confidence in English is clear and that he is now getting more involved in class lessons rather than shying away and bumbling through. His quality of written work and correct use of punctuation has also come along a lot of the past few months. His teacher commented that the tutoring has certainly given him a boost and she expects him to go in and do well in his exams now.
Thank you very much Finn, if I ever need a tutor for either of the boys in future you’ll be my first choice.

Our Customised Lessons
At Explore Apollo, our lesson structure is split into phases, practising the constant recall and active revision techniques.
The Knowledge Phase
Our knowledge phase will give our students all the information they need for that topic. Our aim is to present knowledge in a clear and precise way. (providing them with great revision notes.)
The Application Phase
Our application phrase provides our students with exam-style questions in which they apply the knowledge and finally uses real exam questions from previous years to test their knowledge. This approach eliminates low-level revision methods by encouraging active engagement with the exam content and key retainment of knowledge- resulting in a much more efficient method to tackling exams.
The Testing Phase
Past papers and mark schemes are the foundation of our testing phases in our booklets. They ensure that students can directly target their areas of weakness and emulate the real-life exam scenario. We use past papers and go through the mark schemes which we believe are a crucial part of our revision resources, which allow tutors to offer tailored feedback to the revision process. We can identify our students stronger and weaker areas that we can focus and improve upon on within our 1-2-1 sessions.
The Knowledge Organisers Phase
We provide our students with resources that ensure their revision is actively helping them achieve the results they deserve and assist them when organising their knowledge, making use of the ‘Knowledge Organisers’!
Our Feedback Process:
- Keep you in the loop every step of the way and are always available for a phone call or a quick chat to review progress.
- Every half term, your child will receive an in-depth feedback sheet.
- When you join the Explore Apollo family, you will get hands-on help from our team. We will send you regular updates and feedback on your child's progression. You will also be provided with a personalised service, who you can contact at any time. We are here for you! Any support you need all included in our hourly rate.
